As a club coach (Victory School of Wrestling), he coached over 50 high school state champions and several All-Americans and Team USA Members. He served two years as an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Badgers and has been a part of the Wisconsin National Team Coaching staff (high school athletes) since 2003 and a part of the Team USA coaching staff (women's freestyle) since 2006. He's served as World Team Coach in 2007 (Baku, Azerbaijan), 2009 (Krasnoyarsk, Russia), 2010 (Herning, Denmark), 2011 (Istanbul, Turkey), 2013 (Budapest, Hungary), 2015 (Las Vegas, USA) and 2016 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). He's also been an age level World Team Coach in 2016 (Tblisi, Georgia) and 2018 (Zagreb, Croatia) and led international tours to China, Japan, Poland, Russia, El Salvador and numerous within the USA. He was named USA Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2010 and Women's Development Coach of the Year in 2018.
In 2016, he helped coach Helen Maroulis to an Olympic Gold Medal in Rio de Janeiro in women's wrestling. She is the first and only American female wrestler to win an Olympic Gold Medal. She has also won two world championships under Kevin's guidance.
Kevin is a member of the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association (WWCA) George Martin Hall of Fame and the River Falls Wildcats Hall of Fame. He has served as a board member of USA Wrestling, WWCA, Women's College Wrestling Association (WCWA) and the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation.

Kevin Black is an educator and coach from River Falls, WI. He's married to Liz (Reusser) and has three sons - Isaiah (9), Micaiah (8) and Ezra (5).
As an athlete, he was 4-time high school state champion with a 160-0 record at River Falls High School, ASICS All-American and Amateur Wrestling News All-American. He was an All-American
